Composer, arranger, instrumentalist and educator, Jeremy Levy originally hails from historic Hannibal, MO. While growing up in Missouri, he quickly made a name for himself as a jazz trombonist. Levy attended the University of Missouri - Kansas City Conservatory of Music, where he received a B.M. in Trombone Performance. Next, Jeremy headed south to the University of Miami. While studying composition with Gary Lindsay, he completed his M.M. in Studio Jazz Writing.
New to the L.A. jazz scene, Levy has quickly made a name for himself. Levy is a member of the Brian Setzer Orchestra, the Ron King/Buddy Childers Band, and has played with many others including Bill Holdman, Kim Richmond, Tim Davies, Bruce Lofgren and many more. Before moving to Los Angeles, Jeremy had toured with Blood, Sweat & Tears, Chuck Negron, and Engelbert Humperdinck. Other artists he has performed with include: Barry Gibb, Steve & Eydie, Debby Boone, Hal Linden, Deana Martin, Tito Puente Jr., Byron Stripling, Patti Austin, Jimmie "Bo" Horne, The Temptations, The Drifters, The Coasters, The Platters, David Lee Roth, Joe Piscopo, Susan Anton, Les Brown Jr., and many others.
As a writer, Levy was an ASCAP Henry Mancini Institute Composer for the summer of 2006. He is also the winner of several Downbeat Student Music Awards for writing and arranging.
